Cannabis Lube: How To Make Your Own

DIY Cannabis Lube

People have known about the aphrodisiac qualities of cannabis for thousands of years. But over the past couple years, we seem to be enjoying something of a renaissance when it comes to talking about and exploring pot-induced orgasms, cannabis lube.

Just look a few headlines from recent months: “8 Things to Know About Getting Your Vagina High,” “I Tried That Cannabis Lube and Got High as Horny Kite,” “New Cannabis Strain Designed Specifically to Make Women Orgasm,” “I Got My Pussy Stoned with Weed Lube,” and “Want Better Sex? Using Cannabis Can Take Pleasure to New Highs.”

All this talk of cannabis-induced orgasms has helped usher in some incredible cannabis products like Foria, a marijuana-laced women’s lubricant, and Sexxpot, a low THC strain designed to enhance women’s orgasms.

These products are definitely amazing, but Foria is currently only sold in a few states, and Sexxpot is only available in certain parts of California. And besides that, some people are just generally more leery about products made in large batches and sold in retail stores.

Whatever the case, here’s a recipe to make your very own mind-blowing, orgasm-enhancing cannabis lubricant right in your own kitchen.

Cannabis-infused lubes typically work best for women, but men have reported some noticeable benefits as well. The best route is probably to just make some of this lube and then experiment to see what works best for you and your partner(s)!

Be aware, though, that coconut oil—the main ingredient in this recipe—may weaken latex condoms, and for some women, may not the best lube option (read this for more information).

Things You’ll Need:

  • 1 cup Liquid Coconut Oil
  • 1 cup ground cannabis (pack it into your measuring cup tightly; trim or shake works great, but any weed will do)
  • 1 tablespoon Liquid Sunflower Lecithin
  • A slow cooker
  • Cheese cloth or fine mesh strainer
  • Something to store your finished lube in

Step 1

Grind your weed and remember: the finer the grind the better it will infuse into the oil.

Step 2

Place coconut oil, sunflower lecithin, and marijuana into your slow cooker.

Step 3

Turn slow cooker to its lowest setting and let the oil, lecithin, marijuana concoction heat for three to four hours. Stir the mixture regularly.

Step 4

Turn off slow cooker and allow contents to cool slightly.

Step 5

Once the oil, lecithin, marijuana mixture is cool enough to handle, carefully pour it through a cheesecloth or fine mesh strainer. Squeeze all the oil out of the strained weed.

Step 6

Carefully pour your lubricant into a container of your choice—a glass jar or bottle works well.

Step 7

Time to have fun!

Cannabis and natural health expert Corinne Tobias recommend applying cannabis lube to your sensitive areas 30-45 minutes before intimacy to give your body time to absorb the THC.

And Lee Price writes that “applying it to your nether regions about 15-30 minutes before sexual intercourse can lead to a more blissful, intimate sexual experience with elongated orgasms and an overall heightened feeling of euphoria.”

Like we said earlier, the best thing to do now that you’ve got your homemade cannabis lubricant is to explore.

Now enough reading—go find out what gets you off the best!
