Scratch and Sniff Cannabis Book Is Coming Out Just In Time For 420

With 420 right around the corner, what better time to learn about the plant we all adore so much? A dope book aimed at giving weed fans a full and entertaining overview of all things cannabis is about to hit the market — just in time for your annual 420 smoke sesh. The best part of all: it’s a scratch and sniff book.

Meet “The Scratch & Sniff Book of Weed”

Scratch and Sniff Cannabis Book Is Coming Out Just In Time For 420

At first glance, “The Scratch & Sniff Book of Weed” looks like your standard children’s book: bright colors, illustrations, even thick cardboard pages.

But if you take a closer look, you’ll notice that the cover image depicts a person smoking a joint. Clearly, not your average kid’s literature.

The book is designed to be a short but comprehensive guide to cannabis. It covers 4,000 years’ worth of weed history and delves into important scientific issues like the munchies, cannabinoids, and terpenes.

If you’re new to weed, or you want to test out a new way to consume cannabis, flip over to the book’s section on how to use weed.

Thumbing through the book’s pages will also give you a crash course in cannabis culture. Did you know that Tupac’s homies smoked his ashes? Neither did we until this book came along.

Scratch and Sniff: The Perfect Choice

Best of all, “The Scratch & Sniff Book of Weed” has a guide to cannabis strains complete with — you guessed it — scratch and sniff pages.

Scratch and sniff is the perfect choice for a book about weed. Studies have found that cannabis triggers parts of the endocannabinoid system responsible for smell and taste.

As a result, your sense of smell is heightened when you’re high. Those pages will smell better than ever if you take a whiff right in the middle of your sesh.

But don’t worry, the book’s smells won’t attract any unwanted attention, and it won’t leave your backpack smelling dank.

The scratch and sniff pages don’t smell like cannabis.

Instead, they smell like other, closely related items. For example, the entry for Pineapple Express smells like pineapples.

Similarly, Blueberry Kush smells like blueberries.

Kind of makes you wonder what a scratch and sniff page for strains like AK-47 or Mendocino Purps would smell like.

The book is currently available for pre-order. It will be released on April 18, just in time for this year’s 420 holiday.

The Authors

Seth Matlins has been smoking weed for over 30 years. He describes himself as a “big advocate of what the plant can do for people medically and recreationally.”

He said one of the most important things about making this book was exposing racial and social injustices surrounding cannabis prohibition.

Eve Epstein, who teamed up with Matlins, is a writer, editor, and media strategist. Since the book has only 22 pages, Epstein made sure to focus her attention “on the things that were the most interesting.”

While she hasn’t had much of a personal history with weed, she said she understands the importance of legalization.

“For me, it is a mainstream issue,” she said. “It’s not something anymore that I think people need to have any shame or concern about.”

The authors are donating 10 percent of their profits to the Drug Policy Alliance. The DPA is fighting for marijuana legalization, which means that when you purchase “Scratch & Sniff,” you’re also helping to legalize weed.

The Final Hit

The book is subtitled “A Physiological, Sexual, Historical, Botanical, and Cultural Trip Through the World of Cannabis.”

That’s a lot to cover in 22 illustrated cardboard pages. And yet, the book delivers. You get all this information in a humorous way that keeps you flipping pages until the end.

Reading and getting to know the effects of each strain will make you a top-notch cannabis connoisseur in no time.

Scratch ‘N Sniff is a type of thing we thought was reserved for children, but we’re glad this book was made.
