Anne Hathaway Admits to Smoking Weed

To start things off, Andy Cohen described Anne Hathaway as “always so thoughtful, well spoken and kind”. Then, he requested her to abandon all of that, and be brutally honest. When they started playing Plead the Fifth, Hathaway was, in fact, honest.

She took a sip of liquid courage, a little bit of tequila, to help with her honesty, and Andy Cohen shot her the first question. There was a photo doing the rounds in 2013 of Anne Hathaway smoking a huge blunt. Cohen referred to that and asked her how big of a smoker she is, on the scale of 1 to 10.

Her immediate response? A badass eyebrow raise, followed by a devilish smile. “I’m not a little one,” Hathaway said, maintaining that smile. Cohen pretty much freaked out and screamed, “You’re not a little one?” Hathaway acted on her feet, and quickly added, “But here’s the thing though: I’m a parent and I don’t feel like getting arrested, so I’m gonna say zero.”

Well, she officially said zero, but we already got our answer. She did also add, “I guess I should’ve just pleaded the fifth on that one” but we’re glad she didn’t.

Anne Hathaway famously told Vogue in an interview back in 2013 that she desperately wanted to be a mother.

“Oh, my God. I want to be a mother, and I anticipate loving my children quite fiercely. I think about it all the time, though it’s a silly thing to think about because the kind of mother I’ll be depends on the kind of children I have. I can’t wait to meet them.”

She married Adam Shulman in 2012 after four years of dating and was quite open about wanting kids. The couple welcomed baby boy Jonathan in March 2016. And of course, motherhood comes with a ton of responsibilities. In this situation, it includes saying “zero” on national television when asked about how much of a stoner she is on a scale of one to ten. But “I’m not a little one” is definitely one of the more iconic things this Oscar-winning actor has said. And we thank her for it!
