Wiz Khalifa has said he smokes weed before MMA training, but does Conor McGregor smoke weed when he’s not fighting in the Ultimate Fighting Championship? Surprisingly enough, the UFC allows its fighters to use cannabis when they’re not competing. So if he’s into it he can definitely toke up in his down time. Here’s what we found out.

Who Is Conor McGregor?

Conor McGregor is an Irish professional mixed martial arts fighter and most recently a professional boxer. He just fought Floyd Mayweather in his debut boxing match and lost by TKO in the 10th round. In the UFC, he is their biggest pay-per-view attraction. He’s been a part of the main event for four out of the six highest selling PPV events in UFC history.

Before he was signed to the UFC McGregor held two titles in an MMA league in Europe called Cage Warriors. After entering the UFC Conor was quick to grab titles in two separate weight divisions again. McGregor is the first fighter in UFC history to have the titles in two weight divisions simultaneously. Even though he lost the boxing match against Mayweather he still made a killing. Sounds like homies got a lot to celebrate. Fortunately, the USADA made it okay for him to smoke weed before and after fights.

Puff Or Pass?

So does Conor McGregor smoke weed? The Irish are known for loving green. In fact, Ireland made a move to decriminalize small amounts of cannabis 2 years ago. Conor seems to be just as down with small amounts of weed.

Back in October, we reported on Conor McGregor smoking a joint in NYC. McGregor was being his typical cocky self when he posted a picture of himself in a suit smoking a joint with the caption “we run New York.”

There’s no way to tell if there’s weed inside that joint but since UFC fighters are allowed to smoke on their off time we don’t see why not. Since there is no brown filter we don’t think it’s a cigarette. The white joint looks like he rolled himself a classic doobie.

There hasn’t been much evidence past that night. However, Conor McGregor doesn’t strike us as the type to keep his habits a secret so we’ll probably see him smoking weed again.
