Making the Liquid
The next thing that needs to be done is to lightly break down the bud. You can do this with your hands or with a food chopper, just something to even out the size of the pieces. Once this is done, spread the pieces out on the foil-covered baking sheet. Put the buds in the oven for 1 hour.
While the bud is cooking, put 1/4 cup of coconut oil into the crock pot. Once the weed in the oven is done, it needs to be finely ground into a powder. This is where an electric food processor comes in handy, but you can hand grind it down if you want as well. Once it is finely ground, add it to the Crock-Pot, submerging it in the oil. Stir it up and let it sit for at least 3 hours.
Any longer than that won’t hurt, but be sure it gets at least 3 hours to warm. Be sure to stir roughly every 30 minutes for the first few hours, being sure to use a wooden or metal utensil and not plastic. Once this is done, turn off the Crock Pot and allow the liquid to cool for at least 15 minutes.
