Dutch Masters are wrapped in natural tobacco leaves that provide smooth flavor and a mild aroma. Dutch Masters are made in Puerto Rico, and the company has been around for over a century.

First the quicker and easier way:

Easier Dutch Master Rolling Method

Simply put, you’ll be splitting your Dutch Master down the middle like you would with a cigarillo blunt. Once you’ve emptied the tobacco guts follow these steps to get things rolling:

Step 1: Grind up the weed by hand, with scissors and a shot glass, or with a grinder.

Step 2: Spread the ground up weed evenly throughout the cigar paper.

Step 3: Once the weed has been evenly spread, use your thumbs to push down and tuck all the weed under the paper into a cylinder. Gently press down and roll upwards then back down repeatedly until the marijuana retains a cylindrical shape.

Step 4: Press the paper down with both thumbs starting at the middle then work one thumb to one end of the paper.

Step 5: Start tucking the paper tightly around the marijuana at the end of the paper with your index finger and thumb.

Step 6: Work your way to the other side tucking and tightly rolling the whole way through. Once you’ve reached the other end of the paper, you can rip off any excess and then run your tongue on the underside of the papers flap to create an adhesive.

Step 7: Press down with your upper lips as you work your way from one side of the blunt to the other, sealing it shut.

Step 8: You can run a lighter across the blunt quickly to dry up any remaining saliva. If you’ve completed all these steps successfully, then your Dutchmaster Blunt is ready to smoke!

More Advanced Dutch Master Rolling Method

If you don’t want to cut and gut your Dutch Master like some sacrificial lamb, try the de-leafing method for a gentleman’s smoke.

The extra work from the de-leafing method is worth it. One of the benefits of this method is that any tearing or holes that may have occurred during the rolling process will be covered by the leaf that gets rewrapped around. With this method, you’ll have a more refined and aesthetically pleasing smoke, with more room for error.

Here are the steps to the de-leafing method for rolling Dutch Master blunts:

Step 1: First, you’re going to want to remove the dutch master from its packaging and lick it all over until the outer leaf is moist.

Step 2: Once it’s moist enough, gently remove the leaf and set it aside.

Step 3: Cut the underlying cigar down the middle and empty the tobacco guts.

Step 4: Grind up the weed by hand, with scissors and a shot glass, or with a grinder.

Step 5: Spread the ground up weed evenly throughout the cigar paper.

Step 6: Once the weed has been evenly spread, use your thumbs to push down and tuck all the weed under the paper into a cylinder. Gently press down and roll upwards then back down repeatedly until the marijuana retains a cylindrical shape.

Step 7: Press the paper down with both thumbs starting at the middle then work one thumb to one end of the paper.

Step 8: Work your way to the other side tucking and tightly rolling the whole way through. Once you’ve reached the other end of the paper, you can rip off any excess and then run your tongue on the underside of the papers flap to create an adhesive.

Step 9: Press down with your upper lips as you work your way from one side of the blunt to the other, sealing it shut.

Step 10: Relick the leaf you set aside to return moisture and malleability.

Step 11: The final step in rolling a blunt with a cigar is to rewrap the cigar with the leaf. Once you’ve licked the leaf til it’s soft and sticky, place the leaf flat down and roll the blunt around it like a stuffed grape leaf. Run a lighter across the blunt to dry any excess saliva and then spark it. This will give you a slower and more refined smoke.

The Final Hit

You now know two ways to roll a Dutch Master blunt. You can start with the easier method and work your way up to de and re-leafing. With practice, you’ll master the dutch master in no time.
