This Man Says Marijuana Is The Leading Cause of Mass Murder

Anti-pot activist Roger Morgan has raised eyebrows with his claim that marijuana is a leading cause of mass murder.

He published that claim on his website Stop Pot 2016.

Morgan has become a leader in the movement against legalizing marijuana in California. He’s built his position largely on the claim that marijuana changes people’s brains so much that they become violent.

On his website he wrote: “Almost all of the mass murders we’ve had in recent years, the person has been a heavy marijuana user because it changes the brain.”

He also wrote: “If one looks at ALL of the mass murders of late, the perpetrators were heavy marijuana users.”

Morgan hopes his claim will build support for a proposal called The Safe and Drug-Free Community Act.

The proposal was written by Morgan and a few other anti-cannabis organizations.

The proposal calls for a ban on all privately owned medical marijuana grow sites and dispensaries in California.

It also suggests creating a single, state-run growing program. That program would then provide tightly regulated medical marijuana to a limited number of patients.

Morgan’s proposal is a response to others that are asking the state to change its laws.

Currently, only medical marijuana is legal in California.

But proposals like the Control, Regulate and Tax Adult Use of Marijuana Initiative are working to make recreational marijuana legal as well.

These proposals could be up for a vote sometime later this year.

It’s unclear at this point how much support Morgan’s proposal has received.

It’s also unclear if his claims about mass murder are supported by any evidence.

One study at Yale and Pennsylvania State reported negative changes in people’s behavior after using marijuana.

Researchers said that some people were more impulsive and hostile after smoking. But they didn’t say anything about violence or murder.

On the other hand, there are many studies that suggest possible benefits of using marijuana. For example, there’s a growing number of studies that say cannabis could be a way to treat a variety of health conditions.

Some of those conditions could include things like anxiety, depression, ADHD, and PTSD. By helping patients deal with these types of conditions, cannabis may actually help improve people’s behavior.
