Weed Company Sponsors Race Car Driven by Dale Earnhardt’s Grandson

Cannabis continues to find new ways to find itself in the mainstream, and now one industry is taking advantage of its ever-increasing popularity to race car driving. One familiar family in the industry is going to be the poster boy for one such company, as Bobby Dale Earnhardt is set to get sponsored by the up and coming cannabis vaping company, Veedverks. Weed company sponsors race car? Ten years ago that might have sounded crazy. But not today.

A little about Bobby Dale Earnhardt

Bobby Dale Earnhardt is a the son of Dale Earnhardt Jr., and grandson of the legendary Dale Earnhardt. However, unlike his family members, Bobby doesn’t race for NASCAR. He currently competes in the ARCA Racing Series, where he’s a part-time driver.

Bobby originally spent the first four years of his racing career in the ARCA Truck Series, before moving to stock cars (After all, he is an Earnhardt). Currently, he ranks 35th in the racing league, and is considered a promising up and comer.

VeedVerks: Weed Company Sponsors Race Car

Bobby Dale Earnhardt wasn’t actually the original choice for a Veedverks sponsorship. While is family name is no doubt one associated with greatness in the industry, the vaping company originally wanted to go in more of a mainstream direction in terms of racing leagues. Obviously, they wanted to go NASCAR.

Initially, they approached Carl Long in May, but NASCAR denied the company its’ sponsorship rights. Weed company sponsors race car, so heinous! Get with the freaking times, NASCAR. Obviously, many weed enthusiasts were P.O.ed about NASCAR’s decision to nix the deal, and there was an outpour of support for Carl Long and Veedverks. NASCAR claims their decision stems from both their strict policies on paint schemes and sponsorships, as well as the fact that Long’s camp had misspelled the company’s name when submitting the sponsorship application.

Veedverks quickly rebounded, however, and got the big name they were looking for. Just in a lesser league NBD– though, they got an Earnhardt. The weed-mobile made its first appearance in Earnhardt’s debut at the Pocono Raceway in the General Tire #AnywhereIsPossible200 race last Friday night. Earnhardt finished 25^thin the race.

He did, however, shout out Veedverks, and credited them for making the whole experience possible.
