As the first state to legalize recreational marijuana and the number one state of illicit drug use it should come as no surprise that Colorado is number one on our list.

Legal cannabis has led to an increase in tourism in Colorado while simultaneously resulting in a decrease in teen pot usage and a decline in intoxicated driving.

Not to mention all the tax money the states been racking in since legalization in 2012. With the current popularity of marijuana use in Colorado, the state may very well be the legal cannabis capital of the world. Further, with teen pot use and intoxicated driving down, the state is known to be “the highest” doesn’t seem as dystopian as past prohibitionists would have led us to believe.
