Historically, marijuana smokers have gotten a bad rap for doing nothing. However, many business leaders have relied on marijuana to succeed. From lifestyle moguls to tequila magnates to silicon valley success stories, some of these business tycoons smoke weed and shatter stereotypes by admitting it publicly.

Sir Richard Branson, the billionaire founder of the Virgin Group which owns hundreds of companies, has made no secret of his marijuana use.

In an interview with GQ, Richard Branson explains, “I have smoked cannabis though. I mean, I went with my son on his gap year, for God’s sake. We learned to surf and had some nights where we laughed our heads off for eight hours.” Branson can add ‘cool dad’ to his ever-growing list of titles.

Not only does Branson openly smoke with his son, but he advises other parents to do the same. At a conference in Chicago, Branson told the audience, “If they’re going to have a joint, do it with them. Don’t let them sneak off and do it on their own.”

Pretty dope parenting advice, if you ask us.
