The Ohio-based country rock icons of the 1970s, Pure Prairie League, are definitely country music artists that love weed. In fact, they take it a step further, praising not just cannabis but the culture around it as well.
Back in 1975, on their third album, “Two Lane Highway,” PPL released what amounts to a dis track taking good-hearted jabs at Merle Haggard for his anti-hippie songs, despite the fact that Merle Haggard himself was a big fan of the herb.
