Step 7: Rinse, And Repeat (if necessary)

Once you’ve shaken up your bong, empty the solution into the sink and rinse your piece out with water. You’ll want to rinse thoroughly to get the taste of salt and alcohol out of your bong before your next session.

If it is especially dirty, go back to step 4 and repeat, but once (if done right) is enough to get the main section looking fresh.

Step 8: Scrub Problem Areas (if necessary)

Sometimes, no matter how hard you shake, some spots on your bong will have particularly stubborn residue attached to them. These require a more targeted approach.

To clean these areas, simply soak a pipe cleaner in rubbing alcohol. Use it to scrub away at the walls of the bong where the gunk is extra resilient.

The pressure from the scrubbing will finish the job of getting your bong sparkling clean. Be sure to rinse out the alcohol again once you’re done scrubbing.

Now that the main section is done, you’ll need to clean all the smaller pieces as well. The process is largely the same, but the small size of these pieces makes cleaning them a little different.
