Georgia has yet to decriminalize marijuana and the state’s medical marijuana laws are extremely limited. Georgia is one of the 17 conservative states in the Midwest/South that have passed “CBD-only” medical marijuana laws in the past 2 years.
The lack of THC forfeits some of the benefits that the whole plant provides. Attitudes in Georgia may begin to change after certain laws were changed earlier this year.
A law was passed to relax the THC-limit and expanded its list of qualifying conditions to include HIV/AIDS, PTSD, autism, Tourette’s, and more. A Georgian senator also introduced a law that would eliminate felony marijuana laws.
