Yes, we know, a Republican representative from Texas is pro-weed! Ron Paul has been quoted as calling the War on Drugs “a total failure.” He also thinks it “undermines our civil liberties.”
“You can at least let sick people have marijuana because it’s helpful,” he said during a primary debate back in 2011. He explained that drug wars help drug lords make more money, and someday, we’ll hopefully end the Second Prohibition. Definitely one of the politicians who support cannabis.
