10 Non-Weed Industries That Benefit From Legalization

Retail

Surprise, surprise! Marijuana can highly benefit the retail industry. I mean, how else are you going to buy it? Instead of giving your money to the local herb down the street, give it to a local business. That way, everyone wins!

Dispensaries have been making their way around Colorado, Washington, and California, and so far it has been a very lucrative business. Obviously, a trip to a dispensary is a much more memorable experience than a sketchy meet-up in an alleyway, so it clearly has value in the retail business.

With millions of dollars worth of revenue reported already, the industry will only continue to grow. Obviously, legality and over-regulation have impeded sales, but that should change down the road. Since it is a relatively new industry, supply has not caught up to demand. Once there are more professional growers, that too is bound to change.

What is also promising about the industry, is the versatility of products sold. These stores aren’t selling just a few variety of strains– everything is on the table. Edibles, beverages, and various other cannabis-induced products are being sold at high-profit levels, and the industry is only getting more creative. Soon enough, there will be dispensary at every corner of every street. Well, that may be a bit of an exaggeration, but there’s still no hiding the untapped potential of weed shops.
