5 Tips For Spotting A Weed Investment Scam

Is a malevolent person about to play you for a fool? Here are some tips on how to protect yourself from weed investment scams.

3. Ask Around

Take your focus off of researching the company for now. Instead, focus on the people. If you know anyone else in the cannabis industry, ask them if they know or know of the people who you’ve been in contact with. Since the weed industry is still in the beginning stages, it’s still relatively small. For the most part, everyone knows everyone. Or at least, everyone knows a guy who knows a guy. Use the power of grapevine gossip and word of mouth to figure out if the people who want you to invest are trustworthy. Or if they’re just scam artists looking to make some green.
