Mealybugs
Mealybugs are gross visibly white bugs that move around your plant. Since they’re easier to spot, you can catch them early and act.
The risk they pose to your plant comes from the sweet honeydew they create. Honeydew can cause sooty mold and attract other pests like ants.
Solution: before going the chemical route hose down your plants with a strong stream of water. Knock as many mealybugs off the plant as possible before using chemicals.
