5. Connecticut

Connecticut has a couple of exciting bills in the works. House Bill 5539 proposes to legalize recreational pot use. It would provide a way to regulate weed sales, home growing, and adult use.

Similarly, Senate Bill 11 is attempting to legalize the sale of cannabis in the state. It’s also proposing a concrete system for taxing legal pot.

6. Georgia

Georgia has a couple of bills in the works that could change medical marijuana in the state. The first, House Bill 65, would remove current requirements that medical marijuana patients be in the late stages of a disease to qualify for medical pot.

It would also add new conditions like PTSD, autism, and others to the list of qualifying ailments.

Senate Bill 16 proposes lowering the percent of THC allowed in medical marijuana. If this one passes, the limit will go from 5% down to 3%.
