These 29 States Are Working On New Cannabis Laws

The legal marijuana landscape is always changing, and there's still more to do. Here are the 29 states currently working on new cannabis laws.

7. Hawaii

Last year, Hawaii started getting things for new medical marijuana dispensaries. Here’s what they’ve got cooking so far this year.

Senate Bill 548 would legalize adult use, possession, and sale of cannabis. Similarly, Senate Bill 16 proposes to decriminalize possession of up to an ounce of weed.

The only exception will be if a person has weed in a designated school zone.

8. Indiana

Indiana’s marijuana-related legislation in 2017 is focused on medical use. Senate Bill 255 would let patients own and use up to 8 ounces of medicinal cannabis as long as they have a doctor’s recommendation.

Senate Bill 15 proposes to legalize hemp oil for children who have epilepsy.
