Every state on the map has a state tree, flower, and bird. How about cannabis strain? Well, New York was once famous for it’s Sour Diesel.
On the other coast, California came through with the aromatic OG Kush.
Today, a map of the most popular cannabis strains in each state reveals things are no longer so black and white.
In fact, the map is looking extra green.

Most states seem to favor hybrid strains. There’s almost no purple indicating a lack of Indica favorites.
We thought Sour Diesel would be most popular in New York but nowadays New Yorkers prefer Blue Dream.
However, we’re happy to say Sour D is still one of the most popular strains on the map. The sativa legend is still king in Massachusetts, Arkansas, South Carolina, and Hawaii.
