Here Are The Most Popular Cannabis Products
Today’s cannabis scene offers a whole new world of possibilities when it comes to ways to get high. That’s largely the result of the growing legal cannabis industry. As marijuana and marijuana products become legal in more and more states, pot companies are starting to sell all sorts of crazy new weed products. Despite the proliferation of new ways to get high, good old fashioned bud still reigns supreme when it comes to the most popular cannabis products.
Experts at Headset, Inc. crunched the numbers to identify the most popular cannabis products. They reached the conclusion that flower tops the list of the most popular cannabis products after analyzing data from legal marijuana purchases in Washington state.
The group recently published a report that broke down the types of products weed users buy the most often. Here are the top 10 things legal weed consumers buy the most of:
- Smokable bud – 48.7% of all legal cannabis sales
- Edibles – 13.1% of all legal cannabis sales
- Pre-Rolls – 11.5% of all legal cannabis sales
- Concentrates – 10.7% of all legal cannabis sales
- Vapor Pens – 8.2% of all legal cannabis sales
- Infused Beverages – 3.7% of all legal cannabis sales
- Tinctures and Sublinguals – 2.2% of all legal cannabis sales
- Topical Products – 1.1% of all legal cannabis sales
- Cannabis Capsules – 0.8% of all legal cannabis sales
- Multi-Item Cannabis Gift Sets – 0.1% of all legal cannabis sales
A Changing Landscape?
Smokable buds are by far the most purchased form of cannabis. But there are a handful of other products that are starting to pick up steam.
Live resin, which is a concentrate made from frozen fresh cannabis buds, is the fastest growing product. Live resin sales are growing by 29.3% per month.
Carbonated beverages are close on its heels. The amount of fizzy weed drinks sold each month has been increasing by 24.3%.
Vapor pens, candies, lozenges, and gum are all also seeing significant growth every month. All of this could indicate a shifting cannabis scene.
Although bud is still outselling everything else, it’s numbers are staying more or less even from one month to the next. At the same time, these other products are becoming more and more popular.
The Final Hit
There could be a number of reasons why smokable buds are still the cannabis product that’s purchased most frequently. One explanation could be that other things like concentrates are more potent, and people just don’t need to restock as regularly.
Just as likely is the simple possibility that people still love the classic experience of grinding bud, packing a bowl, loading a bong, rolling a joint, and lighting up.
Whatever a person’s preference, today’s cannabis industry offers ganja fans all sorts of exciting new possibilities and options.
