Perhaps one of the more surprising non-weed industries to benefit from legal marijuana, is the banking industry. Little did we all know, banks have been in cahoots with weed-based businesses for quite some time now.

Despite barely having to do anything with marijuana, banks are pulling in the big bucks in states where the plant is legal. What a surprise, banks are making more unearned profit.! Go figure.

Well, it’s actually not COMPLETELY unearned. Let us explain. More and more banks are working with canna-businesses, to pretty much allow the basic banking options that most non-weed businesses have available to them.

This includes basic checking accounts and even access to their own credit lines. While this seems standard enough, there was a point in time where weed-based industries were deemed untouchable by banks. If weed was to be legalized on a federal level, there are no doubt banks across the country would claw at the opportunity to provide their services for one of the fastest growing industries in the world.
