Keep Pests Off Your Weed Plants With These Everyday Household Items

You can use a fan to help with multiple pests that find their way to cannabis grows. For example, fungus gnats come about from over-watering. The top inch of soil can be dried with a fan over time.

Fungus gnats prefer warm and moist areas. A fan will both cool and dry the area, so it’s one of the best natural ways to decrease their numbers.

Finally, fungus gnats will have a harder time flying around the plant with the fan on blast.

Another pest similarly plagued by the fan is the spider mite. Spider mites are a common cannabis pest that can be difficult to eliminate. Of all the mites that terrorize cannabis, spider mites are the most visible.

You’ll see tiny yellow, orange or white speckles around your plant leaves. Unfortunately, they’re small enough for many growers to miss before it’s too late.

Spider mites have a rapid reproduction rate. In fact, a single female spider mite can produce a million mites in less than a month.

They will eat your plants in a short amount of time and leave a fine mesh of silk webbing, leaving your harvest ruined.

Spider mites love heat and non-moving air so turn on a fan to circulate air and cool things down. You’ll be killing two pests with one fan.
