These 29 States Are Working On New Cannabis Laws
The legal marijuana landscape is always changing, and there’s still more to do. Here are the 29 states currently working on new cannabis laws.
9. Kansas
Senate Bill 187 proposes to implement the Kansas Safe Access Act. This act would allow for the medical use of cannabis.
It would also create compassion centers and a compassion board to oversee patient medical marijuana cards.
10. Maryland
There a couple bills in Maryland that would help decrease the criminalization of weed. Senate Bill 928 would repeal civil and criminal prohibitions against marijuana for adults 21 and over.
Similarly, Senate Bill 798 calls for the reduction of penalties for using and possessing weed.
