Step 5: Monitor the Growing Process
Along with feeding and watering your plants, you need to keep tabs on a few other important variables. For starters, light is crucial if you want to grow organic weed. During the vegetative phase, your plants need a full day’s worth of light. Your plant will move into the flowering phase as the amount of light it receives begins to decrease.
If you are growing indoors, you also need to monitor humidity levels and temperature. To do this, use a reliable hygrometer and thermometer. Cannabis plants like temperatures between 70 and 85 degrees F. As far as humidity goes, young plants like relative humidity around 40-70 percent throughout the vegetative phase. Scale it back to 40-50 percent during the flowering phase.
Finally, keep your eye out for mold, bacteria, predators, and other harmful pests. If you run into any of these problems, do not use man-made fungicides or pesticides, or your attempt to grow organic weed will be ruined. Only use organic fungicides and pesticides.
