The Best Stoner Movies Of All Time

8 – Fast Times at Ridgemont High (1982)

Fast Times at Ridgemont High is the classic story of 4 teenagers trying to make their way through the school year.

One such teenager is one of the greatest stoner icons ever: Jeff Spicoli. The junior’s disregard for his anal history teacher’s class ignites one of the best student-teacher rivalries ever seen on film. All Spicoli wants to do is surf and get high, and it infuriates the uptight Mr. Hand to no end. This is one of those must-see stoner movies.

7 – Dazed and Confused (1993)

Named after the legendary Led Zeppelin song, the movie follows various Texas teenagers on their last day of school in 1976.

Matthew McConaughey plays David Wooderson, a man in his early 20s who still trolls the local high school to pick up chicks. Wooderson is your stereotypical stoner who’s chalk full of now-classic lines.

“Say, man, you got a joint?”
“No, not on me, man.”
“It’d be a lot cooler if you did.”
