If you had unlimited amounts of cannabis and only five minutes to smoke it, how much weed could you burn through? This guy found out.
Sky High In Five Minutes
In a brand new video, weed vlogger Matthias710WRX set out to see how much weed he could smoke in five minutes. This guy has already established himself as one of the kings of WTF weed-related videos. And this latest one definitely falls into that category.
Apparently when this guy goes for something he really goes for it. He didn’t just smoke flower. He hit pure concentrates on a high-temp dab rig for five minutes straight, blazing through as much of it as he could.
Almost immediately, the room he’s filming in starts getting hazy with thick clouds of vapor. A minute or so in and it looks like his mouth starts going numb. At one point he even says that his mouth has turned into “a steady drool stream.”
As should be expected when somebody’s doing something as nuts as this, Matthias runs into some serious coughing fits as the room continues to fill with vapor.
By the time his five-minute timer finally goes off, the guy is red-eyed, can barely speak, and has got to be absolutely astro sailing. At the end of the video, the most he can manage is a bleary “goodbye, good night” as he stumbles off camera.
So what about the answer to the original question? How much weed can be smoked in five minutes? Turns out he still doesn’t know. He got too stoned to keep track of how much concentrate he dabbed. And when you watch this guy go to town on his rig, it’s really not too surprising that he lost count.
The Final Hit: How Much Weed Is Too Much Weed?
This video is definitely nuts. At times you kind of feel like you might actually be witnessing the first-ever cannabis overdose.
But fortunately for Matthias710WRX, it’s basically impossible to OD on weed. At leas, that’s what scientists concluded after looking into the matter.
Way back in 1988, researchers tried to gauge the real-world danger of cannabis. They eventually published their findings in an official report. Here’s what they found.
“The most obvious concern when dealing with drug safety is the possibility of lethal effects,” the researchers wrote. “Can the drug cause death? Nearly all medicines have toxic, potentially lethal effects. But marijuana is not such a substance. There is no record in the extensive medical literature describing a proven, documented cannabis-induced fatality.”
They went on to say that a person would have to consume almost 1,500 pounds of weed in 15 minutes to run any risk of overdosing. As far as the scientists were concerned, that’s impossible.
“In strict medical terms, marijuana is far safer than many foods we commonly consume,” they wrote. “For example, eating ten raw potatoes can result in a toxic response. By comparison, it is physically impossible to eat enough marijuana to induce death.”
If anyone needs extra proof that it’s impossible to OD on weed, just show them Matthias710WRX’s latest video. If this guy can survive blasting through absolutely obscene amounts of concentrates in five minutes, it’s probably safe to puff with your friends in the living room.
