3. Louisiana
If you like growing weed, do not move to Louisiana. Same thing if you want to sell cannabis. If you are caught growing or selling any amount of weed in this state, it’s a felony with a mandatory minimum of five years in prison and a $50,000 fine.
Up until 2015, getting caught with weed in Louisiana could get you up to five years of hard labor in prison. Fortunately, those laws have loosened up a little bit.
But you still do not want to get caught with any amount of weed in this state.
