The Makers of Shine Papers Add Gold Condoms to Product List

Don’t be silly, wrap your willy—in gold.

Shine Papers is undoubtedly one of the biggest names in the rolling paper industry. The company is known for inventing the first-ever set of 24 karat gold rolling papers—in addition to a plethora of other cigars, papers, and blunt wraps.

In essence, the company prides itself on turning classic smoking material into something just a little bit “extra.”

“Shine Papers is the inventor of the worlds first ever 24 karat gold rolling paper,” It’s website boasts. “The brand quickly gained popularity and became the ‘go to’ brand for those who celebrate all of life’s highs.”

While the company might be known as a bougie, toker-friendly haven, Shine Papers recently announced, or rather, re-announced another marquee product that is certain to make the user feel like royalty— their infamous Gold Condoms.

Shine Papers Re-Introducing Gold Condoms

On Wednesday, Shine Papers re-introduced Gold Condoms to their product list—an addition that will have you channeling your inner Goldmember.

“If you’re not gonna hit it raw dog without a bag at least wear some gold,” the company wrote on its Instagram page.

The condom was originally introduced back in April 2017. April, obviously, contains the unofficial stoner holiday 4/20, however, the company claimed that wasn’t the primary reason for their new product unveiling. April also happens to be STD awareness month, which became the driving force for Shine Papers’ royal endeavor.

“April is a stoners favorite month, it holds our favorite holiday, 4/20!” the 2017 press release said. “What you may not have known is April is also STD awareness month! This April we are teaming up with our friends at @bananagolds to help raise awareness!”

Originally, only 300 packs of gold condoms were made for the promotion. In fact, they were given away free with every purchase from the site, and 10% of the profits were donated to the AIDS Healthcare Foundation.

Now, however, the site will re-introduce the product for $7.99 a pack. Each package contains three FDA approved latex condoms (did we mention they were gold?). It’s unclear how long they will be in the shop this time around, but as of now, there is no indication that it will be a limited-time thing.

Regardless, if you’re going to use protection, you might as well go big or go home, right?

“Our collaborative condoms have been team tested and approved to provide swag and pleasure all at the same time. It is critical to your health and your rep to use protection,” the website said. “Not only can condoms help prevent the spread of STD’s and pregnancy but your partner will have mad respect for you.”
