The 32-year-old Johansson was born in Manhattan, New York and made her film debut at the tender age of nine in the 1994 comedy, North. As a child, she starred in other minor roles such as Just Cause,  If Lucy Fell and Home Alone 3. She garnered critical acclaim in 1998 after her role in the film The Horse Whisperer.  Her breakout role is considered to be in the 2001 movie Ghost World, alongside Thora Birch and Steve Buscemi.

Johansson made the transition to more adult roles in the early 2000’s, starring in movies Lost in Translation, In Good Company, and A Love Song for Bobby Long. She also starred in films The Island, Match Point, The Spirit, Vicky Christina Barcelona and He’s Just Not That Into You. She also released an album in 2008 called Anywhere I Lay My Head, a collection of Tom Watts cover song. 

Johansson increased her acting range in the 2010’s, where she dove into the Marvel superhero universe. She starred in 2010’s Iron Man 2 and 2012’s Hitchcock, but her prized superhero role came as Black Widow in the Avengers series. She portrayed the character in The Avengers (2012), Captain America: The Winter Soldier (2014), Avengers: Age of Ultron (2015) and Captain America: Civil War (2016). In 2017, Johansson has starred in the live action adaption of the anime Ghost in a Shell, as well as the comedy flick Rough Night.

So back to the question at hand: does Scarlett Johansson smoke weed? Well, there’s an overwhelming amount of evidence to suggest the actress does. Apparently, she toked big-time back in high school, according to a high school friend. “She smoked elegantly,” the classmate elaborated. 

Additionally, back in 2011, Johansson was spotted on the set of the film Under the Skin, smoking what appeared to be a joint. It could have been a tightly rolled tobacco cigarette, but we like to think there was weed in that thing.

But the biggest source of proof that Scarlett smokes weed comes from–you guessed it, Johansson herself. Apparently, during Johansson’s custody battle this past April, the actress revealed she was smoking weed to relieve stress. She allegedly even told a friend she was going on vacation to Jamaica to toke up a bit to get her mind off the legal battle. Sounds like a solid plan, if you ask us.
