Black Dahlia Weed Container
The Black Dahlia weed container is a brand new, futuristic device that figured out how to keep your cannabis stash fresh for not weeks, but years.
The new device is the brainchild of inventor Franz Aliquo, who teamed up with creative director JR.
Aliquo has built a name for himself by coming up with off the wall inventions and bizarre solutions to problems you might not even realize you had.
He once created a Satanic-themed food truck called 666 Burger. Then he came up with Street Wars, a multinational series of tournaments where people try to “assassinate” other players with squirt guns.
In recent years, he’s built up a reputation as something of a mad genius. The former mayor of New York City Michael Bloomberg once said that Aliquo could use some “psychiatric help.”
Aliquo is now adding to his impressive, if somewhat eccentric, resume by turning his attention to the world of cannabis.
The Black Dahlia was crafted to protect cannabis against the four environmental factors that cause the most damage.
Those factors are light, air, moisture, and heat. According to the product’s Indiegogo page, the Black Dahlia has combined solutions to all four of those factors into a single container.
The glass it’s made out of comes with a black matte finish that blocks out harmful UV rays. The container is also refrigerator safe. That means you can properly store your pot to maximize potency by keeping it at the right temperature.
Cannabis deteriorates most rapidly when it’s above 86°F. But even at room temperature, it will start to break down and lose potency.
While those two features will already give your bud, some serious protection the Black Dahlia’s lid sends the whole thing over the top.
The Black Dahlia lid is airtight to keep your cannabis fresh and protected from odors and other contaminants. The underside of the lid is an impressive humidity controlling contraption that holds the container at the perfect humidity levels for cannabis.
“Once a month, you need to re-hydrate the Black Dahlia humidity-controlling orb under the lid,” the Indiegogo page explains. “But you don’t want to over-hydrate.”
“Sign up for our alerts, and we’ll remind you once a month when it’s time to water your orb with exact instructions on how many drops of water to apply.”
Aliquo’s new cannabis storage container is still in its early stages. Right now you can reserve your own Black Dahlia Weed Container by pitching in $85 to its Indiegogo campaign.
Once they’ve reached their funding goal, Aliquo and JR plan to run the container through some intensive testing.
They want to compare how well their container performs against other commonly used cannabis containers like glass jars and plastic baggies.
“We’re going to set up a lab test . . . to test out how the Black Dahlia stacks up, decimal point by decimal point, against regular weed degradation,” they said.
If the container works out even half as well as they’re claiming it does, the Black Dahlia will revolutionize the world of cannabis.
“It would be cool to save specific strains long-term, like wine,” they said.
